IHS Alumni Association Netherlands
IHS Alumni Netherlands will serve two purposes:
• Connect Alumni to other Alumni located within the Netherlands
• Connect Alumni in the Netherlands to Current Students
To connect Alumni to each other in the Netherlands social events, workshops, excursions, etc. will be undertaken to build cohesiveness among the Netherlands Alumni. These connections will help to provide a support structure among Alumni and help foster relations under the common ground of IHS.
Connecting the Netherlands Alumni to Current Students will be an important function of the IHS Alumni Netherlands. More and more students are choosing to stay in the Netherlands after completing their studies at IHS. For these students, they will be completely on their own in a new country and outside of the IHS bubble. Some will need career guidance, others will need to learn the Dutch housing market, and still others may run into visa or permit issues. It would be a great service to these fresh alumni for those that “have been there and done that” to guide them to ease their transition into this new world.
To build connections, IHS Alumni Netherlands will be using two forms of social media
• Facebook- This will be an informal way of communicating for social events
• LinkedIn- This will be for formal business or professional networking
