Land Development Strategies (LDS)

This specialization focuses on the formulation and implementation of land policies and land development strategies to make serviced urban land accessible for all. The course enables you to compare land policy, strategy and management approaches.

Urban and Regional Development Strategies (URDS)

The focus of this specialization is on strategies for local economic development, carefully balanced with sustainability. The specialization makes strong use of an experiential case-based approach to ensure maximum learning from both theory and its application in practice.

Financing Urban Infrastructure (FUI)

This specialization aims to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of urban infrastructure finance within the context of public finance and public private partnerships. The module focuses on capital finance and expenditure management of complex urban infrastructure programmes.

Urban Environmental Management (UEM)

This specialization aims to equip urban professionals with the latest insights and skills in urban and
environmental management and to enable them identify and analyze environmental problems as well as to successfully manage sustainable urban development.

Urban Social Development (USD)

This specialization enables you to analyze and develop social policies based on new social development paradigms. It develops skills in the formulation and implementation of integrated
urban social policies.

Housing Development Strategies (UDS)

The housing specialization enables you to assess, design and implement policies, programmes and projects for housing delivery, particularly to low-income families. The programme builds understanding of the functioning and performance of the housing sector and housing delivery processes.

Urban Infrastructure & Energy Management (UIEM)

This specialization discusses how local governments can most efficiently and effectively provide, manage and finance sustainable infrastructure, services and energy supply. It highlights the main green infrastructure techniques being applied worldwide as well as the most successful experiences on water infrastructure and sustainable alternative sources of energy in the Netherlands
