Short Courses

In addition to the regular 3 months courses, IHS offers a range of short courses. The duration of these courses varies. There are 1-week executive programmes for decision makers, senior officials and policy makers from the public and private sectors. There are also intensive courses addressed to senior managers that go up to 6 and even 8 weeks. These courses deal with a very specific topic evolved from the knowledge and experience developed through the ICHUD courses, providing a unique opportunity to develop an in-depth knowledge within a short period of time. These courses are compact and intensive by nature. The programme is interactive and demands active contribution from both participants and lecturers. Some of these courses are offered in cooperation with IHS partners. Some recent short courses of this nature are the Housing Policies and Finance, Land Management and Informal Settlement Regularisation (in cooperation with the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy), Implementing Local Agenda 21, just to mention a few. Apply to this course immediately and follow the procedures mentioned in this website in case you are looking for a fellowship.
