IHS 50 year anniversary » Urban Meetings

Urban Meetings

The world has reached an invisible but momentous milestone. For the first time in history, more than half of the human population is living in urban areas. The issue of how to run a city is becoming increasingly important. In 2008, IHS, is celebrating its 50th anniversary. As a gift to the city of Rotterdam, IHS – in close collaboration with AIR (Rotterdam Centre of Architecture) and International Architecture Biennale Rotterdam (IABR) - is organizing a series of Urban Meetings that explore the outlines of an Urban Agenda for the 21st century.

Renowned urban professionals from all over the world will share their views on cities and urban development with Rotterdam decision-makers, architects and urban managers. In this way IHS, IABR and AIR hope to shed light on where our cities may be heading. The meetings will be moderated by Felix Rottenberg.

The Urban Meetings will take place in Zaal Staal
(World Trade Center Rotterdam, Beursplein 33, 3011 AA Rotterdam)

The meetings will be held in English and are free of admission.
We do recommend to make reservations via: info@remove-this.airfoundation.nl.
Please state your name, the name of your organization, the date of the meeting you wish to attend and how many people will accompany you.
