Agnez Szabo (marketing student; Hungary) evaluates her internship at IHS

Agnes Szabo spend 5 months as an intern at IHS, Rotterdam
Agnes: "Like all the fourth-year International Business and Management Studies participants of the Avans Hogeschool , I had to go to a four-months obligatory graduation internship and write my graduation assignment on the research I carried out for the company".
"After long search for a good internship which really fits me, I bumped into the marketing intern position of IHS on the internet. I started my internship in February. I had to carry out a competitor analysis for IHS, but also help the Marketing department in their everyday activities.
From the first day on at IHS I felt really lucky. Not only everybody trusted me and treated me like an equal colleague, I did not even have to promote dull products such as pins or tubes. I learnt a lot not only about Marketing, but also about attitude towards work. I got encouragement and praise continuously from my colleagues. This internship also helped to figure out what do I want in life, in my later carrier.
Time passed very fast at IHS. But no wonder! Time goes very fast if you have to attend alumni meetings and meet interesting people from places you may never heard about as part of your work!
Most of my group mates did their internship in distant countries. However, I think it was me who met the most people from different cultures! And I did not even have to leave the Netherlands!
On the 23rd of June I successfully graduated and I was also accepted to Master Studies to the University of Amsterdam. Now I can really enjoy summer in Hungary! I would like to say thanks once again for everybody who helped me to write my research!"
