Rotterdam will pleasantly surprise you

Restaurants of all nationalities

There are some 2000 restaurants with kitchens of all nationalities, from snack bars to restaurants with renowned top chefs. The only three-Michelin-star restaurant in The Netherlands can be found right here in Rotterdam. In terms of culture and nightlife there is much to discover. Night clubs with hot DJs and VJs, no less than 25 museums, like the well-known museum Boymans Van Beuningen, the renowned Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra in the concert hall De Doelen and many acts of international top artists in the Ahoy hall and over 35 other theatres.

Rotterdam is a fervent festival city, where the World Port Days, the Summer Carnival, the Dance Parade and the International Film Festival attract many visitors. The Zoo with its Oceanium - a walk through an aquarium with sharks and turtles - is also well worth a visit. Admire the spectacular view from the Euromast or board the Spido for a round-trip on the Meuse.

Rotterdam, city of sports

Sports lovers are well off in Rotterdam. Whether you either like to watch or to participate, there are numerous possibilities to enjoy sports. Rotterdam is the hometown of soccer club Feyenoord, as you will undoubtedly notice during important matches. Swimming pools, tennis courts, as well as eight golf courses and numerous clubs in the immediate area provide many possibilities for you and your family to spend your leisure time. Thanks to the proximity of the beach and the many rivers and lakes, water sports are very popular.

Shopping seven days a week

Rotterdam will pleasantly surprise you on your day off. The shops of the city center are open seven days a week. There you will find small unique shops and galleries as well as large department stores. Stores with famous designer clothing and affordable brands, are within walking distance from each other.
