IHS gives the expression ‘think globally, act locally’ a whole new meaning. Through the natural linkage of theory and practice, IHS has provided me with the necessary wide-ranging solutions to address real life problems. Having the unique opportunity to exchange ideas and share knowledge with such varying international backgrounds has proven to be an invaluable learning process unto itself. I believe that only through gaining a more holistic perspective on urban issues can one truly become a successful urban manager. And IHS has done just that. It has prepared me in the best possible way to find sensible answers to the complex questions we are confronted with by our cities.
