Since its founding in 1958, with the mission to develop human and institutional capacities to reduce poverty and improve the quality of life in cities, IHS has been investing in urban professionals who make cities work.

Today as an international centre of excellence associated with the Erasmus University Rotterdam, IHS is operating on a global scale and offers specialized post graduate education, training, advisory services and applied research in the fields of urban management, housing and urban environment.

After 50 years of continuous efforts, we are proud of the high quality of IHS education programmes, research and advisory services. More than 7,000 alumni all over the world and their achievements in urban management and development are excellent testaments of IHS quality. They are also our encouragement to continue investing in people who make cities work!  I am looking forward to seeing you join them and enjoy your IHS experience.
