Global Lessons Learnt in PPPUE Local Level Projects and Programmes in Support of Pro-Poor Partnerships for Basic Urban Service Provision (2005)
IHS undertook a global study to identify lessons learnt from the PPPUE supported initiative promoted and financed by the UNDP

Building Operational Capacity for a Decentralised Government in Romania (2005)
This publication documents the methodology used by the experts in building capacity of local and central public administrations in developing decentralisation strategies

Preliminary Development of a Capacity Building Framework for the South African Social Housing Sector (2005)
The study was commissioned by VROM and National Housing Department of South Africa into the capacity dimensions of the social housing sector

Process Mapping in the Philippines, Albania, Brazil, Ethiopia and Kenya (2006)
Process mapping and institutional and stakeholders’ analysis were made in cities in the mentioned countries, which unveiled practical and empirical evidences of the successes and failures of particular policies and approaches

Local Government Reform in Poland (2006)
This research report was a joint effort of the IHS capacity group on Managing Urban Governance and the Department of Public Administration of FSW and a result of a MATRA financed project on capacity building
