Do you want to be part of a growing community? The European Collaborative Housing Awards have an open call for outstanding initiatives which create affordable and inclusive housing solutions. Submit your project by May 7th and share your story with inspiring organizations on June 5th and 6th in Lyon, France.

Context:

"Across Europe, housing is becoming increasingly unaffordable and a factor of exclusion. At the same time, citizens and housing practitioners organize to plan alternatives for more sustainable and inclusive communities. Some public authorities are also at the forefront of defending housing as commons, not commodities.

The European Collaborative Housing Day is an initiative of the CoHabitat Network facilitated by UrbaMonde in collaboration with a number of city-makers from across Europe. It aims to showcase inspiring civic initiatives, but also raises awareness and lays out a roadmap for the effective support of these community-led processes by public and private actors (in the institutional and financial realms). It also highlights links between the spheres of Collaborative Housing and the social economy, culture, digital technology and academic research.

The European Collaborative Housing Day is the third edition of this kind (following the Collaborative Housing Days in Louvain-la-Neuve in 2016 and Berlin in 2017).
