This month the Lighthouse Career Cafe welcomes 3 inspiring alumni from the Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies. Stefana Cozan, Alumni Relations Officer at IHS will host the event and linkup with alumni from IHS to talk about life after graduation, how they discovered their passion and explore what career paths they chose after their study.
This talk is a collaboration organized by the Erasmus Alumni Relations Office and IHS Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies. This month's theme is 'How do you integrate what you learned at IHS in your home country's system and local ways of working?'. The conversation will take about 35 - 40 minutes, after which the audience has the opportunity to ask questions during the Q&A. This talk will be delivered in English.

Rozita Singh - Head of Solutions Mapping, Accelerator Lab, UNDP India
Rozita holds a B.Hons in Journalism, MA in Sustainable Development Practice and a MSc in Urban Management and Development. She is currently leading the role of Solutions mapping in UNDP India as part of the Accelerator Lab Network- world’s largest and fastest learning network. Prior to joining UNDP, she was working as Project Manager, Circular Economy at Royal Philips Netherlands in their Global Sustainability office. Additionally, she worked on cross functional research projects to test circular value propositions.
Sherif Elsaid - Managing Director of CIB Foundation
Sherif obtained his Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering from The American University in Cairo in 2012 with a Specialization in Construction Management. He graduated from the Masters in Urban Management and Development in 2017. He started his professional career as a Junior Quantity Surveying Engineer at Consolidated Contractors Company. During his Master's he was able to gain experience and worked as an Educational Program Coordinator in Elpida Camp for Refugees in Greece. Currently, Elsaid holds the position of Executive Manager of CIB Foundation.
Mariana Fiúza - Urban designer and strategic planner, Founder at IN.SURGE
Mariana is an urban planner with a Masters in Urban Management and Development. She is currently working to leverage innovation within the public sector in the Municipality of Teresina, Brazil, envisioning a more resilient city in the future. Since 2020, she is a Climate Reality Leader and became part of the Columbia Women's Leadership Network in Brazil Program. Over the past three years, she has broadened her knowledge of global efforts and actively worked on initiatives at the local level.
