Training

UESC has experience in teaching and conducting trainings in Asia, Latin America and the USA with clients like the UN Habitat, NUFFIC and IUTC and development banks like the Asian Development Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank.

UESC has extensive international experience in organising and conducting tailor made trainings and short courses for urban professionals in local government and development banks. During the training participants have the opportunity to understand and reflect on the most recent trends, tensions and developments in concepts such as sustainable, green and resilient cities.

On-the-job training can help the understanding and practical application of key analytical tools and frameworks that are used to assess local and global developments and tensions on environmental and climate change issues. Through this type of training participants have the opportunity to learn by directly applying new skills in their working routine.

Refresher courses are trainings NUFFIC alumni who have studied in the Netherlands in the past, and their colleagues in the organizations where they are currently employed. IHS in coordination with alumni associations can organise refresher courses that deal with specific regional challenges and improve skills on professional competencies.
