Aim and scope
Much is being written about the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. As an organization whose primary focus is on Training, Education and Research on Urban Management and Development in emerging economies, IHS is particularly interested in information, research and knowledge that will be of use to those people and organizations working on the urban Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 11. SDG 11 reads as follows: 'Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable'.
IHS sees this hub as a means to support the supply of knowledge and the dissemination of practices to different users and communities of practice focusing on the implementation of urban policies that help to achieve SDG 11.
Given the considerable material being produced, the aim of this IHS SDG 11 Knowledge Hub is to curate a selection of resources that may be of value to others interested in the implementation of SDG 11. It intends to be a dynamic resource that welcomes new inputs and insights from all interested stakeholders and partners. As the SDGs are interrelated we also include some information on the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development emphasizing where appropriate the links to cities and towns and SDG 11 in particular.
