Short courses

IHS offers a wide range of short courses on urban management topics such as green cities, sustainable local economic development, climate change, land management, urban theory, housing and more. The courses are compact and intensive by nature, and the duration varies from two weeks to three months.

Why do a short course?

  • The compact and intensive nature of the courses enables you to strengthen your knowledge on a subject within a short period of time.
  • They focus on real-life problems, which allows you to take home some implementable solutions.
  • You'll meet like-minded urban professionals from all over the world and expand your network with key connections from our partners (e.g. UN-HABITAT, the Institute for Social Studies (ISS))
  • They're a unique opportunity to further your expertise and strengthen your professional standing with an experience abroad.
  • Upon graduation, you receive a certificate from IHS, Erasmus University Rotterdam and join an active network of 9000+ alumni.
  • You have the possibility to have it all funded through the OKP scholarship.
