About the programme
Hosted at IHS, this five-day programme brings together international experts to share insights on creating inclusive and climate-resilient urban environments. By combining academic perspectives with practical experience, the course offers a balanced understanding of both theory and its real-world application.
The faculty from IHS will expand on key academic frameworks, while professionals from My Liveable City Academy ground these ideas in the lived realities of cities. Participants will also engage in curated site visits to infrastructure and sustainable urban projects in and around Rotterdam, providing direct exposure to innovative practices.
Designed for mid- to senior-level professionals across the public and private sectors, the programme fosters a collaborative learning environment for those shaping the future of cities. Government officials, developers, architects, urban designers, financiers, consultants, and academics are welcome to apply.
Key themes include:
- Ethics and processes of co-creating safe and liveable cities
- Designing safe and caring neighbourhoods
- Addressing urban safety in the context of climate change
- Integrating landscape and ecology for resilient settlements
- Creating inclusive and safe public spaces
