IHS has partnered with TSH Talent Foundation to help remove structural barriers and create meaningful opportunities for talented students to pursue their MSc in Urban Management & Development. By combining tuition coverage, housing support, and access to a vibrant changemaker community, this scholarship empowers talented individuals to thrive academically, socially, and professionally. Awardees benefit from mentorship, training, and a lifelong network of changemakers.
How much is the scholarship?
Each year, 3 scholarships are awarded to exceptional candidates who demonstrate academic excellence and changemaking potential. The scholarship provides substantial support:
- Tuition: Full coverage of MSc in Urban Management & Development tuition fees.
- Accommodation: One year of housing in the Rotterdam Social Hub residence, including facilities, professional development modules, and access to The Social Hub’s network.
- Living deposit: Awardees are only responsible for a refundable living deposit of €1,250 per month for 12 months (€15,000 in total).
Comprehensive support
Beyond tuition and housing coverage, the scholarship also offers a mentorship programme, volunteer opportunities, social and cultural events, gym access, mental health support, and membership in the Changemaker community.
- Aspire Workshop series: The Aspire series offers a set of 10 engaging workshops designed to support scholars’ personal and professional development. Covering topics such as goal-setting, career readiness, wellbeing, and navigating high-pressure environments, the series equips participants with practical tools to shape their future paths. Each session is led by experienced professionals, ensuring that scholars gain both insight and hands-on guidance to help them grow with confidence.
- Mentorship programme: The mentorship programme connects scholars with experienced professionals from within The Social Hub community, creating a space for shared learning and meaningful exchange. As students navigate the next steps of their academic and professional journeys, mentors provide guidance, help refine aspirations, and open doors to new opportunities. The programme fosters confidence, expands networks, and encourages both mentors and mentees to develop fresh perspectives.
