Remembering Mauricio Sosa

Azul Carazo

It is with a heavy heart we share the sad news of our beloved IHS alum Mauricio Sosa Santibáñez passing away.

Mauricio was an incredibly warm person, with a kind heart and a generous smile. He was a dear student and friend to his fellow classmates and a memorable figure of our alumni community. He graduated from IHS in 2018, with an MSc in Urban Management and Development and he was part of the Strategic Urban Planning and Policy specialisation. He was an IHS alumni representative in Mexico and one of our active collaborators in the area.

In his own words, he was "passionate about social inclusiveness, sustainability and human-scale development." In Mexico, he was working as a Strategic Coordinator in the Mexico City Mobility Department.

His teachers, IHS staff, colleagues and friends will miss him greatly and will always remember his genuine and kind nature.
