This programme focuses on how urban planning and policies respond to urban dynamics and how different stakeholders are engaged in the co-creation of a commonly envisioned urban development.
Cities are complex, dynamic systems influenced by a myriad of stakeholders, which requires more flexible approaches that recognise this complexity and embrace the open-ended aspects of urban development processes. Strategic planning is an approach that seeks to guide instead of control urban development. In this programme, you will gain the qualifications to become an urban professional specialised in strategic urban planning and policy analysis.
Graduates will learn to assess socio-spatial dynamics in a city, identify and engage with stakeholders in a collaborative planning process, and develop creative solutions for complex urban problems.
